Aligned for Impact: Measuring What Matters
May 19, 2026 | AHI Spring Convening
AHI Participants and Champions from across metro Atlanta—including health systems, FQHCs, community-based organizations, and public health organizations—gathered at Georgia State University for an evening focused on collaboration and advancing hypertension control efforts across the region. Centered on “Aligned for Impact: Measuring What Matters,” the event highlighted progress to date and emphasized using data, collaboration, and implementation science to drive measurable outcomes.
Through a keynote, peer learning sessions, interactive discussions, and a poster session, participants shared practical approaches to quality improvement and identified next steps to strengthen impact.

Activating AHI Champions: From Commitment to Implementation
February 24, 2026 | Clinical Webinar
This webinar highlighted lessons learned from the CDC Foundation’s Live to the Beat campaign and explored practical approaches for strengthening hypertension education, outreach, and community engagement efforts across metro Atlanta. Community-based organizations, clinical partners, and public health professionals came together to discuss culturally responsive strategies for advancing hypertension awareness and prevention.

Accelerating Hypertension Control: Clinical Leaders United for Impact
October 23, 2025 | Executive Clinical Roundtable
This exclusive roundtable brought together health care leaders and clinical quality improvement decisionmakers from across metro Atlanta to discuss evidence-based strategies for improving blood pressure control and reducing cardiovascular risk. The event featured a Fireside Chat with Dr. Tom Frieden, moderated by Dr. Jayne Morgan; peer learning; networking; discussion of the 2025 AHA/ACC High Blood Pressure Guidelines by guideline author Dr. Modele Ogunniyi; and the introduction of the AHI Clinical Quality Improvement (QI) Resource Guide.

Every Heart: Hypertension Best Practices for Adult and Maternal Health
April 30, 2025 | AHI Spring Convening
This breakfast convening event brought together 126 AHI Participants and Champions representing 90 community-based, public health, health care, government, and faith-based organizations. Attendees explored local data, heard from experts and community leaders, and highlighted strategies to advance equitable blood pressure control. Sessions highlighted evidence-based strategies for hypertension control, including approaches for both adult and maternal health populations.

AHI Fall Convening
October 8, 2024
The October 2024 AHI virtual convening brought together cross-sector AHI Participants and Champions to reflect on Year 1 progress and align on next steps to advance equitable hypertension control in metro Atlanta. AHI Spring Convening
February 29, 2024
AHI brought together leaders from healthcare, public health, community organizations, and other sectors for a full-day convening. The event highlighted the urgency of addressing high blood pressure and its disproportionate impact on Black communities, while fostering collaboration through a collective impact approach. Attendees engaged in workshops, collaboration, and co-design sessions to shape strategies, strengthen partnerships, and accelerate progress in reducing hypertension disparities.

AHI Kick-Off Convening
October 24, 2023
The AHI Kick-Off Convening brought together cross-sector AHI Participants and Champions to align on a shared approach to improving hypertension control in metro Atlanta. Participants explored the local burden of high blood pressure, highlighted existing programs and assets, and discussed strategies across clinical care, community outreach, and policy.
Through expert presentations, a panel discussion, and interactive sessions, attendees built momentum for and identified opportunities to strengthen collaboration and advance equitable cardiovascular health outcomes across the region.
